Signed “Picasso” in pencil l.r., dated “24.5.68 I” within the plate. Aquatint on wove paper, plate size 3 1/2 x 4 7/8 in. (8.8 x 12.2 cm), framed. Condition: Gentle rippling, not examined out of frame. N.B. The same plate was used in the suite La Célestine, published as an unsigned edition of 400 in 1971. Estimate $1,500-2,000 Out of the frame the sheet is a heavy wove with all edges deckled, and it measures 10 1/16 x 12 7/8 inches. It is hinged at the upper corners (verso). There is very pale mat burn, as well as two areas of soiling/staining (one in the left margin; the other in the upper margin – see images). There are pencil annotations to the verso.
