French Stock certificate for 100 francs. Brown and blue on white paper. Numerous attempts to sell the airplane to the United States government eventually led to success when the Wright Brothers sold their plane to the Army for $30,000. It would, however, take the the French to commercially produce the first airplanes and in 1908, after the Wright Brothers contracted with a French syndicate that commercial success was achieved. A strong interest in flight led to a small number of French Wright Companies being formed, this company one of them. An extremely early and rare Wright aviation related stock. Uncancelled and extremely fine.
