Japanese Satsuma Vase Mounted as a Lamp Meiji Period, Late 19th Century A Japanese Satsuma vase finely painted with gilt and polychrome figural and landscape panels, richly detailed with brocade-pattern grounds. Later mounted with a metal lid and base for use as a lamp. Height 23 inches overall (including mount), vase height 9 1/2 inches Provenance: From a Park Avenue, New York Estate Condition: Very good overall with light wear to enamels and gilt; metal fittings later.
